  1. HI, V. You cannot move the banner down. But why you have that big black spot is you have enabled the optional slider – which apparently doesn’t work with the free version. That’s probably an upgrade option. So, go to Appearance > Theme options and uncheck the option that says “Yes! Iā€™d like to enable the optional home page slideshow” and you’ll get rid of that big blank spot. But the banner at the top stays there. That’s a CSS (stylesheet coding) deal and without the upgrade you cannot re-write the CSS.

But uncheck that box and your home page will look better.

      • I wondered why that blank spot came up. I created a new one, put in enough posts with the featured image chosen and it wasn’t until the 5th post that an image finally showed. But it wouldn’t change to the other ones – it remained stagnant. So there some incompatibility with that theme and the new upgrades. You may want to let WordPress know so the person that designed your them can fix it.

      • Thanks! It comes in spurts. I’m picking up some extra work from home doing sites and graphics, but I’m at a lull at the moment…. waiting for an OK on a graphic and to finish it up.
